Hello people. Well I have a problem here, but not exactly me but my Sister.
We come from a very cultural/traditional family and my sister has just married. Yesterday was her wedding night...
In our culture when you marry the older ladies have to look at the 'proof' of her virginity, which is the blood stained sheet or whatever.
anyways, the problem is, she did not bleed! She had problems 'doing it' as she is nervous and it only lasted about 10-15 seconds and the husband had to withdraw.
Why didnt she bleed?
It is making me so distressed because even though people do believe she was a virgin but they need to see this 'proof'
is it possible that you can bleed after a few days of trying some more?
opinions n experiences would be nice.
thank u!

You might not bleed always the first time, but rather as you continue.. I'd tell her to try a few more times, a short duration like the one she experienced will not cause any sort of spotting.

Not every woman bleeds when they lose their virginity. Your sister could have broken her hymen while doing something like exercising or something. Or maybe since the act was so short, it wasn't "in" enough to cause the hymen to break, which is what causes the bleeding. Also, don't ignore the possibility that your sister may have been abused previously and was afraid to tell anyone. This would mean that she's not technically a virgin, but it wasn't her choice so you can't blame her. I'm not saying this to be mean... I just think that, as your sister, you should try to give her the benefit of the doubt. I understand that your culture is different from mine. There are a number of things that could have caused this to happen. It doesn't necessarily mean that your sister was doing anything wrong.

When I lost my virginity, I did not bleed. Some women are born without a hymen, some women are born with a very thin hymen and when it breaks there is little to no blood. Also if she actively used items to masturbate with she could have broken her own hymen.
I don't know where your from, but from my understanding of these archaic practices it is not uncommon in these circumstances for the couple to cut her to make her bleed (just a little). Enough to stain the sheet.

You bleed because the hymen is broken, but sometimes other things, such as a biking accident or such can cause the hymen to break prior to sex. Of coarse 10 to 15 seconds? It sounds like she was too tense to even let him in all the way, which means he may not have even reached the hymen to begin with. She is going to have to relax, it doesn't hurt as bad as some try to make it out. If that doesn't work, you can always smear some chicken blood on the sheet, its in all the books that way.

If he didn't penetrate her fully and break the hyman (a barrier of skin) then she won't bleed until he actually breaks it. However, if she uses tampons and has ever gone horseback riding, the tampon can break the hyman. Doesn't mean she isn't a virgin it just means there isn't a hyman to break.
The first time I had sex it was very uncomfortable, but I don't believe I ever bled. I used tampons and rode horses which would have taken care of the hyman. Sometimes girls don't even realize it breaks.
Hope this helps.

It could be that she didn't bleed because she lost her Hyman bike riding or horse back riding or physical activities like gymnastics say like the horse or parallel bar. If she was a normal teen as far as being active, it doesn't have to be that she wasn't a virgin from being sexually active.

not everyone bleeds. i didnt.
it didnt even hurt me THAT bad.
i had been with my boyfriend awhile and we had dont 'other' things before sex, so my hymen wasnt exactly intact.
i feel bad that you have to be so distressed about this. and im sure your sister feels bad to.
do you think its right for her to be worried about this the day after her wedding??
i find your culture interesting, and i respect any families traditions, but i find this one a little too old fashioned.
i believe that your sister was a virgin, but why does the family need to see proof??? sex between people who love eachother is a natural, wonderful, PRIVATE thing. with all due respect, i dont think it should be shared with the entire family.

no one says you have to bleed to lose your virginity. has she ever ridden a horse or something close to it? the bleeding is caused by the hymen breaking when he enters her. it is very well known that a sudden jerk to her body, like riding a horse or similar, can bust her hymen prematurely. shes still a virgin, but the part that blood comes from has already burst and healed, never to bleed again. this is very common with horse riders and bicycle riders.

that's a delicate difficulty for me. I in no way even had an possibility to lose it until eventually i became 21, and finally did at 22. It wasn't lots that i desired to, yet I resent that I in no way had a call approximately it. truly for the reason that people in my age team (people who grew up interior the '80s) supposedly grew up in a decadent era.

U can lose your hymen (the thing that bleeds) from a variety of activities, and many of them non-sexual. For example horseriding & gymnastics. Google it
