It wouldn't be to check the baby's position at that age - still tonnes of time to move. They might have just missed something in the 19 weeks scan, or perhaps some images weren't clear enough - that's why I had to go back. Some midwives just like to see how things are going. Since you've been having seizures, they may just wish to check that development and blood flow to the fetus are normal, look for any signs of problems that might mean you'd need an early delivery.

Relax, though. They'd tell you if there was anything in particular they were worried about. Call the midwife and ask, if you're concerned.

If they say you are a high risk pregnancy they tend to do more ultrasounds than usual. And if you are having some problems then they want to make sure it's not harming the baby. But if I can remember correctly I think they automatically do one at 28 weeks. Congratulations and I hope they find out what is making you have seizures.

I assume since you are experiencing seizures, they need to look at the baby to ensure s/he not being affected.

I had pregnancy induced hypertension and had an ultrasound every week to ensure my baby wasn't affected.
