Discovering that I was entering NO MAN'S LAND that lies between innocent Childhood and responsible adulthood. One day you felt like asking questions to find your answers, next day you were resentful that anyone should be wanting to advise you,- a kind of impatience at not growing up fast enough to be recognised as an adult overpowering every other feeling prevalent at any time. But it was also a great time as I was in the Senior Secondary School, far ahead of my age peers. My class mates were ahead of me in their pursuits and age -mates were still busy with their kid games.I was well and truly in the No Man's land. It was my reading habit that saved my days.Happy to look back , and thank you for the prompting!

Sometimes I know what I want to say, but dont know how to put it. Also, I cant believe what adults think of us - well SOME adults. A later bedtime would be nice. I also like my privacy, and I am stuck sharing a room with my sister. I don't like homework, I love my music, and I don't realy like adults (School therapists) butting into my buisness, but I have to be nice anyway. ;) I am very smart, not a girly girl, but not exactly a tomboy either, I love going barefoot, and running in skirts that don't confine my movement. climbing trees is fun too. In a pool and out in the open with nature, I feel like myself, but at school, I feel like a wannabe.

I think at that age most people feel awkward and there is always someone who thinks that the way to make themselves feel better is to point out someone else's flaws. At home and with my friends it was a great time for me, no bills, no worries etc. but at school trying to get through a day was sometimes impossible. Children can be very cruel.

i was shy and awkward .Very skinny and no curves just straight up and down like a stick. But once I turned 16 in 1991 and came back for the new school year my junior year.People were like wow you've grown I just developed real late and the curves began. An I wouldn't want to go back to being like that .An somehow Men on this earth are turned on by skinny looking adult women and that's sick to me cause it makes me wonder if they're a child predator if they want there woman to look all adolescent looking like a tween. EWWW

I'm living it right now, I'm 13 and hate it. I really don't feel comfortable saying why. Ok, maybe I can. I'm really insecure, freakishly tall at 5'10, always feeling like a toothpick, feeling judged by everyone, and never good enough. Let's just put it to that.

HORRIBLE!! I had moved away from Chicago to live in "Hickville" at that age! Not to mention the horrible expieriences of puberty and teenhood! Thank God I'm out of that stage and reaching a NEW milestone...30!

12--I was in elem school and I was a kid. I was carefree and didn't have many responsibilties. My main day included: playing, eating, sleeping, homework, school projects, school play, friends, fighting with them, playing barbie, playing with tomagochi or secret diary.
13--got a crush on a guy named ----. Was in junior high and I was boy crazy (in my dreams) but also boy shy. I was nerdy. Like to study and dream alot. Not many responsibilities either. Akward stage. didn't talk alot except to my close friends at lunch.

well i had a teacher who hated me, he thought my mother was a bad mother cause my father was not around. that's the only reason he thought she was a bad mother. i was not doing to great in school and by then I'd had a crush on my bestest guy friend for 4-5 years. and my mother was getting married a guy who two years later turned into the worlds biggest @$$ hole!!!!!! so life was interesting.

I was the oldest of 4 kids, so I was "the boss". It's hard to be the leader when you just want to grow up. I left home early. Even though things weren't bad, I wouldn't want to go back to it.

We lived in the country and it was great. Riding bikes, playing ball, just going for walks in the woods. It was fun and carefree.
