B.C.E. = B.C.
C.E. = A.D.
B.C.E. (Before Common Era) was created to please the people who do not take the birth of christ to be a real event.
C.E. (Common Era) was created to change A.D. which meant Anno Domni, or after the death of christ.

BCE = BC
CE = AD
BCE stands for "Before Common Era", which came into use because not all residents of the planet acknowledge that the birth of Christ is an historical event.
The folks who use BCE also use CE as the analogy for AD.

BCE is another name for BC... the letters in BCE stand for "before the common era" (in other words, before AD... the era we are in now)

BCE = before common era. That way they could be politically correct wimps and not have to mention Christ.
