i am currently starting a olds to chevy truck engine swap i need to know if a 1977 olds 403 will accept a pilot bushing fron a 1980 chevy truck with a 4spd manual tranny i already have the bell housing spacer but don't know if the pilot bushing will fit

Only way to tell is to look in the back of the crankshaft in the engine and see if there's a hole that would accomodate a pilot bushing--I would think there should be as they usually don't cast different cranks for manual or auto. Next you'll have to get a bushing that fits the crank and also fits the input shaft of the trans...hopefully, should not be too hard to find as Olds used Muncie trans' in some of there applications.....Paul

You may have to size the I.D. and O.D. of the bearing.
