My family and I returned Sunday from a week in Disney... I have to say I have never been around more rude ignorant people in my life...People literally shoving me and my kids out of the way to move up in a line, no one from any other countries seems to use deodorant, and should you attempt to tell someone "hey, you can wait in this line just like we can" all of a sudden no one speaks English... Last time I'll be in Disney, promise..

Have to say as an ex-cast member most guests don't know the half of the rudeness other tourists show. We choke it up to the "I paid $10,000 for this trip so its all about me." What they seem to forget is everyone else is charged the same thing, so why are you different. I remember one morning 2 adult men in there late 20's RUNNING DOWN a 12 year old girl to be the first on a roller coaster. They didn't even seem to care when she left the ride(and unknown to them, but we learned from a later complaint immediately left the park). We acted quickly and kicked them out of line before they rode, but people in general need to learn how to respect others. ts not only Disney but all over the world.
Don't give up on Disney, let the cast members know your proplems, they will help the best they can.

Unfortunately it is the time of year that you were down there. I was in Disney a couple of years ago in the summertime and found the same problem. My young son was even knocked over while in his stroller, stroller and all! There were a bunch of tour groups walking around basically pushing people out of the way, chanting as they walked and disrupting everything, including a few of the shows. I spoke to a few of the cast members who told me this is winter break for the South American countries. They get great deals to come to the U.S. and especially to Disney. I don't have a problem with them coming to visit, but let's show some common courtesy. I will never go down there again during the summer. And before everyone starts bashing me, I don't care if you are white, black, hispanic or green with purple spots. If you are in the U.S. you need to be respectful and follow the rules, period. We are all there to have a good time, so just be polite. There is no excuse for being rude and ignorant, regardless of where you are from.

I was there over Easter, which is one of the busiest times of the year, and this year was no exception. There was a large crowd, but we did not have the problems you experienced. Everyone there was in a good mood, and had no problem standing in lines. We actually met quite a few people from England, Germany, and Spain. We had a blast, and are already making plans to go back.

Hope this helps. Don't give up on Disney after one bad experience. We didn't and are glad we didn't!

WOW sounds like you had a terrible time. I'm sorry. My husband and I were there in March and yes there seemed to be some rather rude people there. People shoving and pushing there way through especially parents sending there kids to but in front of people and the parent says excuse me thats my child. How rude is that?? You should say you can wait in this line just like we are. I did it many times. Of course you get "the looks" but hey I paid for this trip and your not gonna screw me over. I will go to Disney World again and again because we love it. It's not Disneys fault tourists are RUDE. The cast members were very nice. I'm sorry you had such a bad time.

Im very sorry to hear about your poor experience. Maybe you went on a bad day but it surprises me somewhat that you have taken your experiences with other guests so personally that you forgot about Disney itself. I hope you understand that Walt Disney World is a place that invites and welcomes guests from all over the world, everyone has their own cultures, personalities, and way of being; Disney cannot tell a guest what to do or how to act; just as there are many happy guests, there are also many bad guests, and that is something that cannot be changed, no matter how much you complain. This applies to everywhere you go, not just Disney.

It is very sad to hear that you will not return to Disney because of this experience, especially since it has nothing to do with Disney itself. I hope you will reconsider and plan a fresh new Disney vacation in the future.

Too funny! I was watching our Disney videos the other day showing my Sister. and the first thing I said was "People are so rude there"! Epcot by far is the WORST! I guess since they have all those countries! it was really bad there...I had my kids in MGM and we were at the "Honey I shrunk the kids" playground and I seriously had to turn off my video camera and stop fliming the boys because people were running into me and shoving my kids!! I went off on a couple grown women! It was kinda funny because my Fiance was saying "Oh great we are going to get thrown out of here"! Not quite! these adults that are acting horrible and shoving kids down need to get kicked out! They need to have people watching for this! I saw so many children getting "tossed" to the side by crazy psycho adults wanting Goofys autograph! anyway I yelled at a couple parents and said "Get out of my way and if you touch my son again we will have problems"! Sorry but a 2 and 6 year old can't beat out a 200 lb women with a fanny pack! :) In all we had a awesome vaca I made sure of it since it cost $7000! and I wasn't going to let little things stress us out or ruin our trip. we would walk slower and be calm and have fun! and you know what we were always first in line and twice had Mickey come up to us and we went first to his house to get autographs! front row seating to shows and dinner shows! we actually had PURE LUCK! the whole time! that is what you get when your nice to others and treat people wtih respect! as for the fanny pack women I hope she sat in the last row at every show! LOL! joking!

I went to Disney World last August, and everyone I heard was English speaking. Except this one family that spoke French, but, they switched to English when needed.

I bet you more then anything because a lot of other countries have vacations, so there coming here... Because I hear people from Foreign countries traveling to the US recently for vacation.

You prob were just THAT lucky to run into non-english speakers, haha :P

When was the last time you've been to Disney? There are always people from every parts of the world and yes they do not use deodorant. Those people that work at Disney are usually in a good mood, I can't really blame them if there not ....they have it tough. People being rude to them, smelly, standing in that hot and the rain...i give them props.

I wish you wouldnt ban Disney from ur places to go. Its not like Disney had anything to do with the rude people u encountered. I was there in March and sure, there are some rude people. But thats everywhere you go. There are tons more people there so ur going to run into a few rude ones. Unless it was the cast members fault, I would understand that but i've never met a rude cast member. Sorry your trip was so bad but try to go when its not so busy so u dont have that problem.

That is terrible!!! We are going in June to Disney's Animal Kingdom and Typhoon Lagoon. I sure hope it's not like that when we go.
It amazes me that people can be so incredibly rude and self centered. And I know what you mean about the not speaking English... how convenient for them. You don't have to speak English to know you are shoving and cutting in line. It's just so wrong. So much for a nice family park!

Hmm. Well that's not pleasant, especially considering the amount of dough you have to fork out to go to Disney. It wasn't always like that. In the 80's and 90's it was much more civilized. But that's true just about anywhere you go nowadays. Good manners and common courtesy are the exception rather than the rule.
