American involvement in Europe meant that the Iron Curtain stopped at the Fulda Gap rather than the Atlantic Coast. US involvement in Asia meant that Soviet hegemy did not take over in the Orient like it did in eastern Europe.

The US borught industrial and manpower might that was unaffected by enemy attacks. The continental US was out of range for all but a few marauding submarines which could only pester US production and shipping. For example, the US could produce twice as many bombers per day than the Axis powers could shoot down. What is more remarkable, is that after approximately 6 mos. into the European and Pacific theatres of war, United States participation had suffered it only significant lost battles and had turned the tide toward victory in each theate--putting the Axis powers on the defensive for the rest of the war. The US lost at Pearl Harbor, Wake, the Phillipines, but in 6 mos. had defeated the Japanese Navy at the Battle of Midway precluding any further Japanese major offensives. The US conducted a daylight bomibing campaign against Germany which Albert Speer, the German prodcution minister, called the third front that opened in 1942. After the Torch landings in North Africa and the defeat at Kasserine Pass, the US, except for minor defeats and set-backs never lost a major battle in Europe.

The war had been going on for about two years when the US joined the hostilities. We brought enormous resources in men, material, and money. The government directed research to help the war effort, including the building of the atomic bomb. At the time, it was thought the bomb would shorten the war by convincing combatants that the US could continute to flatten cities with this horrible power. In that respect, it did work in Japan. Germany and Italy essentially ran out of resources and the ability to fight back and stopped the fighting soon after.

Our industrial strength allowed us to arm and feed ourselves plus make a significant contribution to our allies. The Soviet army used our jeeps and trucks to out-maneuver the Germans while they lived off SPAM (a canned meat produced in America). Our best brains made numerous technological breakthroughs for the Allies. We played a dominant role in breaking the power of Japan. Our entrance ensure Allied victory and saved millions of lives that would have been lost to the hands of the Axis. We also ensured that Western Europe would be made up of democracies.

The USA was the greatest industrial power in the world. Once it got its factories going, it simply out produced the enemy. We could produce planes, tanks and ships faster than the enemy could destroy them. The war was won in the factories, not the battle field.

Too humorous. "consume this huge azz beef chop or you are not getting in". different than a lot of them ditch those regulations while they get right here. Bin encumbered became into time-honored for partying and whoring it up in the states. yet I wager the beef might freak them out.
