Can't decide on getting either Virgin Media or Pipex Homecall. has anyone on here had any experiences with either for landline or broadband - adsl (bt line) , not cable!

well mi bro works at virginmedia in customer services so i can just jump the q lol. and i'll get best cust. service with him

Ouch. I was with Pipex, whilst I know 4 people with Virgin experience [:)] - and both are said to be really cr*p for customer service. Pipex also "shaped" my traffic :( - so I wouldn't recommend either...

Had a relative who isn't computer literate join Pipex and couldn't connect for 3 months. After numerous calls and attempts, the line hadn't been activated for broadband.
I'm with Virgin and have been since 2003. I agree the customer service isn't great but if you don't have any problems, you don't need it.
