That is my exact point. I am very interested in my astronomy classes and I love astronomy and I love to learn how things were formed. Science has nothing to do with god. Science is mainly theory and theory has no room for god to have "created the heavens and the earth." When we learned the life of a star and how the planets are formed around this star, I stood up in my class and said "yeh...so you are telling me god created the heavens and the earth?" If you are religious do not take astronomy because it throws everything you have learned in church out the window....which is where I like it.
P.S. Yeah you might get creamed with answers here. Good luck...lol

Not really sure how god made earth. Many different creation myths to choose from. Man created God to answer the unanswerable. Unfortunately man then created religion to excuse the inexcusable.

'what's God's plan for me?' is a better matter to worry and work about.
Questions like yours will take you to the only sure conclusion 'humans' mind is too limited and too small'.
Wondering about God is important, but you should turn to more significant questions.
