Do not embarrass yourself and wear something from the 70's. The 70's passed. They had weird clothes and they will come back, but in a more fashionable sense. I repeat: DO NOT MAKE A FOOL OF YOURSELF!!! I recommend wearing a nice dress in a elegant color or a nice suit. You want to make a nice second impression.

If It's going to be at a country club, I suggest wearing something a little formal. Not too formal though. Just something to make a good impression that you're mature adult that likes to mingle and socialize wit the elite.

ahaha. don't follow the crowd. if you love 70s style clothing, go ahead and wear it.
black? well god, its not a funeral. adults and their strangeness...it is, however, a country club and I wouldn't suggest something incredibly formal or semi-formal, but something casual, yet nice.
pants that aren't jeans or denim. you don't have to wear a skirt or dress, but if you do stay away from mini type skirts or cocktail dresses.
70s urban is cute as well as 80s. i personally love retro white clothing. for some reason I wear TONS of white. it seams so beachy and clean...perfect for a country club .
its up to you. have fun!

1] don't wear black - it's overdone. Wear a color you love
2] buy something you can dance in, including shoes that are broken in
3] make sure you flaunt all your best body parts - like legs, butt, or bosom
4] 'perfect' hair, skin, manicure
You will feel confident, look great, and have fun!
