Nope. If you don't play the game, you don't make the rules.

Catholic opposition to abortion is nothing new. It goes back to God's revelation in the Old Testament and teachings from the early Church.

Catholics believe that from the moment of conception until natural death, each human being is endowed by God with dignity and rights.

You shall not kill. (Ex 20:13; cf. Deut 5:17)

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. (Jer 1:5; cf. Job 10:8-12; Ps 22:10-11)

My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth. (Ps 139:15)

Early Church writings: You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish. (Didache 2, 2: SCh 248, 148; cf. Ep. Barnabae 19, 5: PG 2, 777; Ad Diognetum 5, 6: PG 2, 1173; Tertullian, Apol. 9: PL 1, 319-320)

With love in Christ.

I personally do not believe in abortion, But I do believe in minding my own business. I can not say for sure there is no reason ever that anyone should get an abortion. Maybe there is a good reason. It is not my body or my child, so it is not my decision to have or not have an abortion. And I support the woman's right to choose. Does that make me a murderer, no I don't think so. I would do all I could to persuade someone not to do this, but I can not make that decision for them.

I think this is a private matter for every individual that has to make this choice. There are many different valid reasons for having an abortion and a person shouldn't have to fear the wrath of the "Pope" who isn't God.

God can sort everyone out on his own.

I don't want to be disrespectful as he is really in the crosshairs of the caliphate. I don't impose my feelings that the church would be safer if they were married. Maybe I'm not enlightened enough. I'm certainly not of the same denomination.
Ans: No.

Well, it's the Pope's job to speak based on religion. But to answer the question, no, I don't think anyone other than the pregnant woman should make the choice to have an abortion or not.

He's entitled to his beliefs as pope but no one forces people to belong to his religion.

Ummm.....the Pope doesn't institute legislation. Religion is a choice, so: Yes, the Pope can decree whatever pops into his pointy-hatted head, and it doesn't bother me one bit. I don't think anyone here believes the Bible supports abortion...

I got a better idea to end the damn abortion issue. Let's let only women vote in a giant referendum to see if they want abortion to be legal.

I love the religious groups that call abortion murder,
the hyprocity is mindboggling.

They have the right to their opinions same as anyone else. I don't think they should be allowed to make the decision for something that does not affect them though.
