Dude....
You think just like me.Why on Earth shouldn't we win the WC.It's easier for us than Australia because the Australian population is just more or less tha the total population of Bombay..
And we also dont get good coaches because as an underdeveloped and politically dominated country the choices just aren't correct.

LOL, just now found this section, and its interesting, yea, many curious INDIANS worried abt india vs bangladesh match this coming may 10.
You see, there are many talented players, as previous answerers said, theres politics in the Indian cricket team, lol, its true. I mean, for e.g. Previously few yester years ago, our Sunil Gavaskar was supporting Saurav Ganguly as captain and didnt said anything against him on any BOARDS meeting, he always supported him, you know Y ??. LOL,LOL, dont fall down and laugh, lol, so that his son, Rohan Gavaskar must get inside and stay in the team. DAMN!!!.
Even if a player outshines everyone like for e.g. DHONI, he was a brillant player a match winner. I guess the media, i mean the ADVERTISERS spoiled him. See everyone on the planet live their life based on $$$$ YEA MONEY. DHONI was such a guy who was a middle class person. Now after getting placed in the team. Hes earned some where around 30crores thats 666666 US$ from PEPSI sponsorship alone, and he also have 16 more sponsors on his list.
Hes building his home somewhere in a district, with a huge space with a swimming pool, the villagers even protested, that upon completion, the drinking water scarcity will be increased due to the POOL(saw that in the CNN-IBN news).
I just want India to lose again against bangladesh, then only people of India will start to show interests on other sports like hockey(national sport), football, etc. But still on the other side of heart wants my country's team must win. lol, pretty much mad.
later mait.

well, you've gotta understand that there's so much politics involved in indian cricket. Also, the coaches and the BCCI refuse to let go or our big name players like tendulkar, ganguly, dravid, etc.... and take the new generation of players which can keep up with the pace at which the game is evolving.
These players are old and definitely can't keep up with the fast and physically demanding games that Cricket has evolved into.
IDK if that answers your question or not, but I hope it gave you some insight on why the team remains hopeless.

I fully agree with your views. I hope the debacle in the world cup will be an eye opener for the authorities concerned and they will wake up and take immediate action to revive the Indian cricket to new heights.

cus fan passion doesnt build up cricketers passion. in austraylia people play to live there live as an indian want to get a good job for a comfortable live. on the othere hand in subcontinenet people paly cricket to be a star. ponting is a star at australia but not as s.tendulker not even as i.pathan. it is never great that a person become too professonal but who ever the best is he is professional. may be our marketing policy make us professinal at other sector...............???????????
