My Dodge is my baby. I've had this van for about 1 year now.

150,000 miles, 3.9 engine and purrs like a kitten all regular maintenance was kept up great. Nothing leaks, check engine light never comes on. Totally reliable

I have one problem that just started that i am not farmiliar with.

Van may start perfect 10 times straight. On the 11th start nothing, no power no click, no sound, nothing. If i hold the key in the start position or turn it a few times then it will start. Battery is fine, Altinator, belt & pulley have already been replaced about 6 months ago. check engine light is NOT on.

So what chould it be?

if you van has a security system in it, it could be causing this problem. they usually disable the starter circuit.

Paul has listed good places to start.
but if they don't fix it do this:
when your trying to start but its not working have some one check voltage at the starter. there are 3 points to check
1: where battery cable connects
2: where starter connects to solenoid
3: small wire that operates solenoid.
if there is voltage at all three point replace starter it has a shorted / open spot on armature.
voltage at 1 and 3 but not 2 replace solenoid.
voltage at 1 but not at 3 and you have already checked the items Paul identified check wiring between neutral safety switch and solenoid.

Starter solenoid is where I would start. It is an inexpensive part to change, and may not show bad all the time as you have stated. The contacts inside the solenoid may be worn out or corroded and when the plunger makes contact it sometimes will hit the bad spot not allowing electrical flow. Also when the it fails to start, take out of park and put back into park, under the dash by the pedals is a plastic switch that will not allow start in drive, may need adjustment.

Ignition switch could be going bad or out of adjustment, neutral safety switch could be going or starter solenoid could be going but I'd bet it's the other two options. Try wiggling the shifter as if you're shifting when this occurs and if it responds, the neutral safety is bad or out of adjustment but I'm thinking the ignition switch is probably the problem--adjustment or replace............Paul

There is a flexible brake line that goes from the car frame to the wheel that may be blocked on the RIGHT side and not allowing the brakes on that side to work as well as the left side. It could be the proportioning valve too. But I'd check the flex line first.

YOU SHOULD GET THE VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED AND CHECK FOR ANY PROBLEMS AS WELL AS CODES AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD IDEA ON WHAT THE PROBLEM TRULY IS.

TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR A CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE FINDINGS AND THE SERVICE.

The fact that it is a Dodge might be a place to start....forgive the pun.
