I dont recall that he dated someone in last nights show. I do recall an insinuation that he took an application for hire from the girlfriend of a patient for purposes of obtaining her phone number. The actresses name for that character was Piper Perabo who was the girl in the movie Coyote Ugly.

she is a vegan nutritionist that came into the clinic with her bf because the bf was having some sort of trouble with adjusting to a new vegan diet. House, using his sherlock holms diagnosing skills, tells the chick that her bf is eating meat.
house asks the chick for her resume because he might have an opening, but he was really just trying to get to know her. then he meets up with her at a bar under false pretenses.
