Im not sure whats wrong with it, the temperature gauge always stays on cold, once in a while it goes to normal, and sometimes it goes up to the red line. everytime for like 15 or 20 minutes, some of the water from the radiator goes to the plastic tank next to the radiator, its really hot, and it starts to vaporize, when i turn the car off, I could her the noise of the water boiling. is it a rediator problem or what should I do

i already cleaned out the radiator with the radiator flush thing.

you need to find out if the radiator fan is working or not. The fan is the main cooling mechanism when the vehicle is at a stop or driven at low speeds under 35 mph. over 35 mph and the air over the front of the car is sufficient to cool it down.

so, if the temperature climbs when you're at a stop and drops when driving it over 35 mph you have a problem with a fan that doesn't work. that is usually because the fan motor is seized but it could be a bad temperature switch for the fan or a bad fan relay.

if you have the engine at normal operating temperature you should be able to open the hood and look at the fan behind the radiator to see if it is working. if its not working and if you have air conditioning on the car, turn it on as that will send an electrical override to the fan motor to run the fan. If the fan doesnt work with the a/c on the problem is the fan motor that is seized. if it works with the a/c on then its a problem with the temp switch or possibly with the relay.

if the fan works when the car is stopped and the engine is overheating as you described the problem is with the thermostat for the engine.

check the fan first; I think that's where you'll find you have a problem.

hope that helps

Yeep I agree. Likely the thermostat. If it was the water pump it would leak if it wasnt working since its driven my the timing belt. Check the thermostat. Its attached to the engine block at the end of the upper radiator hose. Do it when its COLD!

You need to change the cotle inside you water pump. The cotle cost around 15 buck. You can turn on your heater to super high and your water temperature should go down a little bit.

It sounds like something as simple as a clogged thermostat. Replace it. Its less than $3. Check fan operation, radiator, if its none of those then its your water pump. Dont drive around if your car overheats, you will blow your headgasket and you dont want that.
