EVEN WHEN you state it is non racist, and the only reason I choose Al Sharpton is he has the biggest chance to do it, you still have some that try to make anyone that even broaches the question to be racist.
Who knows, I have NEVER stated MY Race, only thing that gives a clue is the cartoon face...... Think about it.

I do not have any respect for those that say anything hateful towards others.
Those that do this have some sort of inferior complex and they feel that putting others down will somehow eleveate themselves.
If your mind is in the right place, clean your own damn house before you want to say something negative about your neighbors back porch. If you were trying to get your self right, you would not even have time to worry about this one and that one enough to where you even have to discuss them.
Remember whn mom said "if you do not have anything nice to say about someone, keep your damn mouth closed (well I added the damn, but you get the jist of what I am saying)" . Turns out mom was right.
Elevate yourself, elevate your n\mind to discuss issues not people, well that is supposed to be a characteristic of an intelligent person. I could care less about what they do to others that say hateful things about others. My wish is that they would just simply conceal their ignorace and shut the hell up.

You cannot make laws that are anti-constitutional.
While you take great measures to explain this is "not" a racist question, you selected an African American as your example.
I have provided you two examples of non-African Americans who regularly practice hate speech; Reverend Fred Phelps, and Michael Weiner Savage.

Probably both. While you might see celebrities/politicians prosecuted just because they are so high profile, the average person might also be charged in conjunction with other offenses occurring during the same incident. But any statute that restricts language is going to be subject to serious constitutional challenge.

There is no law against hateful comments and no state is initiating one nor shoud they....the Supreme court ruled such laws unconstitutional a long time ago.
The KKK can even come burn a cross on my lawn if they choose...the only thing they are guilty of is tresspassing.

I have found that when people profess they are not being racist, then invariably are. So, I wonder what you mean by "the likes of Al Sharpton".

If people of whatever color would treat everybody else with dignity and respect then there would be no problem. People need to view it as the human race and not racial. I do not understand why people feel the need to be disrespectful to anyone.

I do not think this type of law would happen. Mainly because hate speech is still allowed. What is not allowed is speech that incites violence which some hate speech is but most isn't.

i agree with kolacat on this one. i hate the fact that people are still racist? why?! there is much more things in this world to talk about then racism, so i think we need to move on to better things and worry about something that's actually worth worrying about!

It would be un-PC to go after blacks or women who bash whites or men. On the other hand, if those groups started bashing the "opressors" (white men), then people (the liberal media) would hail them as "revolutionaries," even though they already have equal rights.
