Problems with memory stick or computer?

I'm trying to down load a file I created with some info to a memory stick from my computer called it "New Folder" & I get an error message I'm not understanding what to do about it please help The msg says
"Can't create or replace New Folder: The directory or file can't be created

O.K the file is sitting on desktop & I draged it to the openmemory stick area& tried right clicking on it & send it to mem stick (Drive E) & tried to copy & paste it to no avail

I will try first to download the file onto your desktop or MyDocuments, and from there you can move to the memory stick.

Rename the folder on the memory stick, then copy to your PC.

Did any utility comprise your memory sticks? a number of them require you to transform the memory to be in the ordinary public area (it in basic terms potential you need to use it without password). you need to continuously attempt to format the memory sticks by potential of way of 'My pc'.
