my daughter's 1st grade class has 8 students. i was considering an end of year pizza party. your ideas?

Oh they love that! I use to do that when my daughter was little. Then I still use to volunteer at schools and I and some parents would make sure the kids had little parties..valentines..etc. Are any other parents involved..or a friend..if so get together and go shopping..we used to love to go to the dollar store..we could get each child a badge or whatever little gifts..sometimes you can get real cute things there..I love the ribbons that say things..the children love a little gift. And all they need is the pizza..ice tea maybe better than soda..and paper plates..napkins..cups..and maybe someone could make cupcakes. You can get your plates etc. all at the dollar store. Have fun..I miss doing all that..the children are so cute!
Ciao..oh had one more idea..since it will be summer vacation,..the dollar stores have the bucket with the summer toys in them..that would be perfect and you get all for 1$ a bucket..we did that one yr. had little shovel etc. in it..and one yr. we gave them each seeds to plant kids love to see something grow.

Have you talked to any of the other parents? I don't think it's unfair to ask for someone to chip in, or pay for the drinks. If it were me, I would consider asking some other parents. If they don't want to chip in, then i'd just pay for it so the kids could have a good time.
