So, my power supply on my eMachines went and blew my motherboard to non-working conditon. I bought a New motherboard off E-bay, the Asus P4GV-LA [Socket 478] [845GV], which is a motherboard used for HP systems..

After turning the computer on, it ran 'ok', but it needed updated video and sound drivers. I found a download to update the BIOS for this motherboard off of the HP website. I downloaded it and installed it. The computer rebooted and the display is okay now. The problem is that it is super super slow. As I'm typing this right now, It has about a twentysecond delay. When I move a window, about a five seoncd delay. When I scroll down a websie, it flashes. What is wrong? What can I do to fix it?

Best guess, you may have used the wrong BIOS update file. Fix this first.

Then, you MUST also install all the motherboard drivers from the HP web site.
