Who is R.A.B.?

In the last Harry Potter book (The Halfblood Prince) the horcrux was taken by R.A.B. anyone have any idea who this might be?

it is sirius black's brother his initials are rab. i forget his name though

This is the $64 question. The first thought is Sirius Black's brother, Regulus. One has to note that we don't know what his middle name is, if any.

Only other possibility I could find was Rebbecca Bones, noted as dead in HBP.

So you have one of these (first more likely), or someone else that will be introduced in DH. Remember JKR likes to both refer back to previous books and also cross us up.

I think it's Regulus Black. Sirius mentions how Regulus must have done something to upset Voldemort because Voldemort killed him himself, and we know he was a Death Eater, so he would have gotten inside information on the whereabouts of the locket. The locket is probably somewhere in 12 Grimmauld Place. I think while they were cleaning they might have found it. In other languages and regions, the initials are changed to match Regulus's name, so I think he's RAB.

no one really knows but most people are guessing it's Sirius Black's Brother, Regulus black. We could also be proven wrong because we currently do not know his middle name or initial.
