Are they going to be ok? What should I do if they die? How much do goldfish go for nowadays (£)?

Judging by the state of the average goldfish tank, I'd say nobody will notice. Next time just pour the alcohol straight in without processing it through your kidneys. This has two benefits. First your health has improved and you will stop waking up next to Sharon from the chip shop, and second, the goldfish will "swim in an amusing way".

Take the whole tank down. use water conditioner. if the goldfish die buy the friend a better breed of gold fish just to be nice they cost a little more but I bet he'll like them.

LOL..... change out most all of the water quickly. Add a fresh batch of carbon or a new cartidge to the filter and all should be ok.
Don't forget that the water should be close to the same temperature as the tank and you will need dechloinator drops. If your friend has a tank, he has the drops near by.

just add some fresh water and pray. you can get a goldfish for about 3 or 5 quid, so don't worry be happy, it could have been worse you could have weed in your friends wardrobe lmao.......

Not really sure whether or not they will die but i would definatly offer to clean out the tank, and give those poor fish some clean water!!
hope they wasn't expensive fish!!!

Cheaper, and smaller than goldfish.
