When you think about it, it's not that big of a deal considering that more than likely that won't be the last home run he hits for the season. The last home run he hits will set the new mark for the record.

As an opposing manager I would treat him the same way I would treat any given situation. It would be a shame if some manager decided to alter what his team does and loses a game they might have won and ended up 1 game out of the playoffs. He is no different than anybody else...he will fail 7 out of every 10 at bats. If teams walked every batter suspected (or flat out known...players know who has used and who hasnt) of using any illegal means then that particular team would do an aweful lot of losing. The sooner the record gets broken the better...it is getting old to keep hearing about it. Barry cheated....So what!....McGwire cheated....So what!....Sosa cheated....So what!....etc., etc., etc.. Cheating is, has been and always will be part of pretty much every sport, with the money being paid out it will never end. Lets just asterisk the records of any suspected cheater (I dont suspect Barry cheated...I know he did!) and move on already! Either people respect a player or they dont, I see a lot of fans cheering Sosa this year (apparently all is forgiven with him?) or in the end do fans truly only care whether or not their team is winning?

Its funny becasue hes never been proven of taking steroids, and I wouldnt walk him becasue in a bases loaded situation, you have to pitch to him. Besides thats shallow, walk him everytime just casue hes a great player steroids or not. He shouldve passed Hank a long time ago, but Bonds has 600+ more walks than Hank, so that just proves how good he is.

I would manage baseball not Barry Bonds record. If the bases are empty and its a tight game I'd pitch around him.You got a lead go after him. He's not the scariest batter in the Majors

Pitch to him. Why not? Alex Rod-regular season will probably break that record if he stays healthy and wants to break it. But when he gets there what are people gonna say about him? What performance enhancing drug did he take? To think that any professional athlete was clean their entire athletic career is kind of naive.

Too bad he can't help the Giants win the pennant. We know he will break Aaron's record this year, the question is when, at home in AT&T Park or on the road.

Walk him. He doesn't deserve any records.
In a perfect world once he got to 1 behind Hank, then every pitcher would agree to walk him at every plate appearance he made. For the rest of his career.

I am getting tired of seeing the uneducated and retarded place these types of questions here, where there should only be intelligent people reading and answering through this forum.

If you have solid proof that he used steroids, please share it with everyone here and also provide the test date, who administered the test, who witnessed the test and what drugs were present in his bloodstream to justify the positive test result.

I'd just pitch to him. He's going to break the record anyway, so you might as well have some personal pride and try to get him out.

I would do what ever is best for my team to win. If the bases are loaded and I am up by one run, i would pitch to him. If there is no one on base, then I walk him.
