When doing a frenchie...doesnt the pink varbnish make the white tip look pinky-ish?

Or is it because i sorta bought a dark shade of pink..its called Chicklette,number 230, by loreal paris.
is really isnt THAT dark i think its PERFECT but when i dry the white i brush over it with a thin layer of pink it messes up the white

you need to get a pink that is made for the french manicure... Sally Hanson has a great pink that doesnt mess up the white

I do my own as well and hate the really light pink that comes in the kits so what I do is:
1. Base coat!
2. Two coats of my favorite soft pink! (make sure the polish is completely dry or you will run into problems in the next step)
3. The I use the store bought straight nail guards and two coats of white on the tips!
4. After the white is with out a doubt dry, peel of the guards!
5. Then use a clear top coat!

Now you have encouraged me to do my nails again!!!!!

It does kind of turn it pink but really isin't that noticable. Sometimes more then others. depends on where I go to get it done.

then i guess you should use something clear for your last layer.
