Yep, same story but different country. They're trying to get out of a job they messed up.

Take it back and if they won't make it good, consider reporting them to the appropriate agency to have their license revoked.

If you've had the head and block skimmed and a new gasket fitted, you need to take it back to the garage that did the job and tell them to do it again properly.
I had the same problem with an MG Rover ZR, but fortunately I was able to have the job done under warranty. Don't be fobbed off by the garages blarney, stick to your guns, after all you've paid for the job. Good Luck.

He could have placed helicoils in to repair that. without the main suitable torque the top will warp and this would extremely reason the oil leak.extremely ask him why he did not fix it while it became into aside. The regulation probably calls which you are able to grant him a wager to repair it as quickly as.you're able to not would desire to pay for that and you're able to ask to work out the gaskets he would be putting off to swap returned. If he's taking it aside and reuses the gaskets he merely put in there will be issues down the line.

you need the head gasket changing and i can guarantee you that if you put grease on the gasket you will need to do it again as the gasket has a glue strip around it and it contaminates that glue and it wont seal properly as has been said you will need the head skimming as well

The shop messed it up and needs to do it right. If you really want to mess it up, put grease on the gasket.
