Barack Obama said 12,000 people were killed by tornadoes! The dath tole from the tornado in Arkansas currently stands at eleven people.
Can you imagine what our biased media would say if that exageration were made by George Bush? It would be front page for a week and all would accuse him of being an idiot!

Shouldn't the same apply to Barack Obama?

How can such a poor handling of the truth for political gain be excused?

How can we consider electing such a hack?

He is a exaggerator, and you are also right about the double standard with Bush. If Bush said this he would be called a moron, but Barrack says it and it only means he is concerned.

I think it's the opposite. If George Bush said something like that, it would be a footnote. Since a democrat said that, people like you are going crazy about a really minor thing.
And besides, that's only in Arkansas. Arkansas isn't even in Tornado alley. 12,000 people dying--but in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska.

Yeah, accidentally exaggerating a number of deaths due to a tornado has done catastrophic damage! Unlike the President grossly exaggerating facts the Iraq had WMD's...

He's a "hack" because he made a mistake that caused no harm to anyone? Wow, I can just imagine what kind of names you call Republicans in power...

He obviously just got his facts confused in an off the cuff remark. Maybe the town has a population of 12,000? Probably something like that. Why blow this out of proportion? GW Bush makes mistakes like this at least once per day.

What I love (NOT!) about both Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton is listening to how their accents and deportment change depending upon their audience. When speaking before predominantly white audiences, their diction and posture are impeccable. However, get them before a predominantly black audience and their accents become twangy and their enunciation slips dramatically. Both are exaggerating their speaking, why wouldn't they exaggerate the facts?? Personally, I think their behavior is incredibly insulting to both audiences! Just be a real person - quit insulting the American public!!

When your accomplishments are as meager as his, you get in the habit of exaggerating everything.
