Who is a better fantasy player? Giambi has an incredible history of hitting for power, as well as a high batting average and OBP. Fielder is a fairly unknown (and much younger) player in the league, but carries a lot of hype with him. His start this season has been stellar.

I am looking for non-biased answers - with no mention about steroids. This argument is irrelevant to my question about fantasy baseball!

I think that it is a question that is to early to ask. Giambi has been fantastic used to be a first round fantasy pick. Though he has begun to show his age he is slowing down and his numbers are declining. He is no longer that all-star first basemen he is a DH and has no speed, so your not going to see to many extra base hits. Fielder on the other hand is a #1 prospect who has the potential to be amazing. Last season he had a good year hitting 20+ homeruns and loads of RBI's. He has had a great start to the season and expect him to continue to be a great player this season and for many more. I see 30+ homers and 100+ RBI's this season. But i think right now they are both about equals but Fielder will finish with the better season. In the long run Fielder I think will be the better player after the two retire.

I would go with Fielder for sure. He has hit 10 home runs already and when he was a prospect people knew he could be a power hitter. it looks like he has developed that power and should hit 35+ home runs.

The main reason I would take Fielder is because of the injury concern over Giambi. He has had injuries the last few years on and off and Fielder is just coming into the majors and has shown no signs of being a player prone to injury.

The overall hitting talent of both players is close but because of the fact that Giambi is getting up there in age and is an injury concern, I would take Prince Fielder.

Fielder is a player on the rise with tremendous power potential and .300 potential. Giambi has foot issues and given his age and injury history this could linger for awhile. I have myself and would suggest that you go with the potential that Fielder offers, he showed flashes of brilliance last year and so far this year looks like he has taken his game to the next level. His history through the minors suggests that he has superstar potential and the 10 homeruns indicate he has figured out how to hit in the bigs. Giambi is the more proven and puts up dominating numbers (the ave. hurts in fantasy) but between the foot and Fielders potential I think that is the way to go.

Is it a keeper league? then I go Fielder. His track record is just starting.

The Juiceman's foot has been bothering him and will ALL YEAR! plantar-ficchiattus (SP). If you can get Fielder GET HIM! I traded Giambi for Overbay in the offseason and look like an IDIOT for doing it. I just don't like Giambi as a player. K's too much and is (should be) on the decline.

relies upon on the format. In each and daily lineup video games Youk has an aspect together with his 1b/3b potential and being sat in a effective Boston lineup. If OPS is used then Youk's potential to get on base is efficacious. In weekly commerce or 4x4 i ought to say Tex, he's now showing he's a good tier 1B, after I traded him from my fantasy crew for sure. In income cap leagues, bascially which ever of both is most inexpensive. If I had a immediately determination i ought to %. Teixiera. each and every each and every now and then in fantasy you may want to pass with gut instinct.

Fielder, I got him on both of my teams. I wouldn't have that drug freak Giambi on my team. Without the roids his recovery time ain't what it used to be.
