I think both sides have been wrongly characterized. I know I have called quite a few liberals "flag burning commies", but not all liberals are flag burners or communists. It's all about slinging mud. What an immature bunch we are (me included, I confess).

"All"? No, there is probably some very small percentage (<<1%) that might exhibit some level of all those traits, and the chances are there is at least the same number of left-wing democrats who exhibit the very same traits.
But the vast majority of right-wing Republicans are mischaracterized as such, by the left-wingers. I suppose it's a lot less mentally taxing to cast unsupported apersions upon others' characters than to actually try and use facts and logic to counter their ideas.

NO, are all Liberal Democrats tree hugger Vegans, that will let all the illegal immigrants here, and preach till they are blue in the face about everything that is wrong with the world, then go home drink until they pass out, then blame everything on republicans and not take responsibility for their own actions????????????????????????????????

most of my republican friends are very honest, very generous, and very humble people. In fact, republicans contribute more to charities than democrats - fact. Most of the people who I associate with are church people, so I can't speak for the republicans who are not Christians and who do focus too much on material things. Funny thing is, the most materialistic and selfish people I know are democrats. This is from my own observation. Thank you for asking.
