I do not believe in the Kyoto Protocol. I believe it to be quite one sided and insufficient to say the least. Even if we the 'developed' nations cut down our emissions at considerable cost we would lose business to China and India who would simply put even more pollutants into the air then before. What say you about all this?
Later days.

I agree with you 100%.

All Kyoto is...is a way to economically handcuff the USA.

Why doesn't Kyoto apply to China??

it is problematic, to be sure.

even if the West follows it to a T and China/India/etc do not increase emissions, it will still not be enough. It's about 15 years obdsolete, and we need to do better.

we also need to face some of the music in the West. We got rich polluting without emissions concerns; capping everyone is essentially saying, "well, we got ours and you can't get yours." Any fair and just compromise needs to have some fairness for everyone, and at the same time get the job done.
