You can ask for help on specific things you don't understand, or idea to help you get started, but don't expect others to do your essay for you!

Make a list of characteristics of the Garden of Eden, just general terms of the top of your head, like "tropical paradise". Then put a check mark next to the ones that the LOTF island also shares. Write a note if there is a small but important difference in the similarity - "the Garden was isolated, but not technically an island."

Then write each subtopic (the forces of good and evil, a fall from grace, a savior, and eventual redemption) at the top of its own page. Flip through the book and note down each time you see an example of that theme or image (boys look to Ralph to solve food problem and see him as "saving" them from starvation).

The central concern of Lord of the Flies is the conflict between two competing impulses that exist within all human beings: the instinct to live by rules, act peacefully, follow moral commands, and value the good of the group against the instinct to gratify one's immediate desires, act violently to obtain supremacy over others, and enforce one's will. This conflict might be expressed in a number of ways: civilization vs. savagery, order vs. chaos, reason vs. impulse, law vs. anarchy, or the broader heading of good vs. evil. Throughout the novel, Golding associates the instinct of civilization with good and the instinct of savagery with evil.

If you read the book you can answer these questions. This is a fabulous book and I know that you would love it. It's not in any way boring. As a matter of fact it is exciting and bone chilling. My suggestion is to read it.
