Feeder fish is easy (and relatively cheap), plus worms, small crayfish, bloodworms, gammarus shrimp, and feeder crickets. Some will eat fish pellets and turtle pellets, which is really convenient!

Hope you know these can get pretty large and are messy eaters - you need a good filter to keep the water clean, but if you have too much aeration, they'll lose their external gills. I've raised two of these guys.

Honestly they will eat just about anything as was mentioned above, feeder guppies, fish eggs, frozen fish (thawed of course) They will also take pellets if they are "meat" based pellets.

The mudpuppy's diet consists of crayfish, snails, insect larvae, worms and small fish.

You could feed them snails.
