Sorry, but Yale will not be very pleased to here that your goal is to get accepted to Yale. They want to help you get to your dream/goal whatever that is, and this goal should help not only you, but others in the society. I suggest you have a think about this. But don't worry too much, you still have a lot of time to think about these things!

You need a GPA that is close to 4.0, SAT scores in the 200+ range, lots of community service and a killer application essay. It helps if you went to school in one of the better school districts or if you went to a good private school.
Other than the correlation between money and going to a good high school -- having money is not a factor. Contrary to popular opinion, the majority of students at Ivy League schools are not rich -- and get lots of financial aid.

Most students need a good gpa and sats, good essay and resume of school extracurricular activities.....HOWEVER, if one of your parents is a wealthy alumni, you can get in that way too.
