School is for education, NOT Myspace.
There is a reason Myspace, AND proxy sites are blocked.

All these people griping about "school being for studying and not for visiting myspace" need to check themselves. How many times did they (this was me too) pass notes in class or doodle while the teacher was talking? It's the same damn thing only with technology instead.

Unfortunately, if your school has blocked access to it, you won't get around it. Proxy sites only work for a little while until they are blocked when discovered by the IT guy. As IT pros become more and more savvy and are paid more and more for their services, they're going to get better at blocking you from visiting myspace and other networks that are deemed unneccessary in an educational environment.

Try using the internet to learn more about firewalls, proxy servers, and hacking. Then you can access whatever network resources you want, whenever you want. Plus, you'll actually have a marketable skill.

Circumventing internet get right of entry to administration structures with internet proxies to get right of entry to unauthorized internet web pages is a violation of school computer utilization coverage. you will get suspended and/or banned from employing college desktops once you get caught. Use college desktops for college artwork, and myspace can wait till you get domicile. Do you quite need your instructors and faculty directors understanding what you're posting on myspace in any case?

Good.

Look they do it for a reason.

When I was in high school they blocked it because a girl was raped, beaten, etc by a man she met on myspace and she ditched class to go meet him. So it came back on the school because she only had access to the internet at school AND because it happened during school hours.

Schools are blocking these sites for YOUR PROTECTION.

Whether or not you can see that is your problem but the school doesn't need a law suit because some sl*tty girl ditches class for some pervert off the net.

So obey the rules- they're made for a reason and not to be broken.

Stay off those sites- do it on your own time. You're at school to learn not be on dumb sites.

Use different proxy sites. You should be able to set IE to connect to proxies to get around this problem. You shouldn't be on during school anways but oh well

Every proxy site or just ones you'd used previously? Try using some others, f actually configuring Internet Explorer to connect through some proxies you can find online, as opposed to going through web proxies.

They have done so for a very good reason. Unless you have admin rights, you are out of luck. Proxies won't work because they have most likely blocked the URL...
