Give her A LITTLE juice in a bottle, but fill the rest of the bottle up with water.... maybe 1 cm of juice and the rest water. She doesn't have to drink it all, but it will make everything start to flow. Also my Doctor told me to try a little brown sugar in water and that will help too.
Pedilite is for dehydration, or diarrhea. I don't think that will help. Try some of those ones I suggested. They will help, you don't have to give her too much, she just needs a little and that should push everything through within 24 hours. It is very common for a baby to be constipated because of the change you made. Also check how much iron is in the formula, iron will also constipate a baby.

I have heard of a lot of different suggestions, but not sure if you can use them on a baby this young. One thing you could try is Karo syrup. Not sure how much you're supposed to use. Try to mix a little in some warm milk (formula.)
Unfortunately, this is a very common problem. I think everyone goes through this at least once. My daughter was constipated and had trouble going for months. She just wasn't drinking enough (breastfed.) We had to resort to glycerin suppositories.
Keep asking and I'm sure you'll get a bunch of good ideas.
Good luck!

oh my have i been around and around with this one!! i have a 7month old and she's the exact same way, i started her on solids and then she was always constipated and went from being an angel to crying and fussy all day!
with each feeding of solids i give her, i mix in about a tablespoon or two of prunes. even with cereal and i use oatmeal cereal and that is less constipating then the others. also don't give bananas they are very constipating and if your baby will take water try to give him about 4oz a day. but the prunes work wonders...this is the absolute only thing that worked for my baby. but this may only work for you if you get her unclogged first, try a baby supposatory to get her to go. then try this to mannage the problem
GOOD LUCK HOPE BABY FEELS BETTER I KNOW THE FEELING!

There are simple natural things you can try way before turning to medication and chemicals.
1 - boiled water left to cool is the first one - all babies should be offered water during the day -most don't drink it but as formula is their 'food' they do get thirsty, breastfed babies get their drink and food in one.... so to keep constipation away offer her water during the day everyday.
2 - for constipated babies a fast acting remedy is water with 1 teaspoon of fresh squeezed orange juice in it, if this doesn't work within a few hours up the amount of juice you put in the water....
3 - when making up her formula add 1 oz too much water to scoops - like 7 oz water to 6 scoops milk..... it may be too concentrated for her - never do it the other way round though, never more milk to water.
I have 3 children - soon to be 4 - and never had to give them medication for everyday probs... always try to find an alternative first, their little bodies find it hard to cope with life as it is let alone with chemicals etc.. being pumped into them = plus meds for constipation can give stomach gripes and diahorrea really bad - swopping one evil for another......
all the best

IMPORTANT!! If your baby is not producing 8-10 wet diapers a day then baby needs to go straight to the doctor for dehydration. if your baby is getting 8-10 wet diapers then it's not really a problem. as babies grow their bodies take time to adjust to new things in their diet. if you have recently introduced formula, that could be why. exclusively breastfed babies have a thin, yellowish seedy stool. formula fed babies have a more solid stool with a strong odor. your baby's body might be trying figure out how to digest both. at that age my son was exclusively breastfed and still would go a week without passing. Suggestions: 1- if possible cut back on the formula for a few days to see if that helps. breastmilk naturally has laxatives in it 2- if you can't cut back on formula then add no more than an ounce of baby prune juice to one or two formula bottles in a day

give her the pedialyte, she may be constipated due to the formula change. You can also try a warm heating pad on her tummy for the gas, as well as lying her on tummy on your legs and gently bouncing her. If she has not pooped in another day talk to the dr about giving her a glycerin supository, that will definatly get her moving.

I have four children, two had been constipated as babies. A bit of Kayro syrup, dark, mixed with formula or breast milk always did the trick for me.
