I just saw some of the apple ads on tv, and they lie so much. My friend had an older mac computer, a performa I think. It crashed all the time and was sooo slow. But i'm running a computer with XP and an Intel Duo core processor and it is running very fast and doesn't crash. So why does macintosh lie???

I had a mac and it never crashed. As of your PC, wait another year or 2 and see if stays like that.

You must not have that much experience with both or either. Pretty much across the board anyone that has had many years of experience with both knows that PCs suffer more from crashign and viruses than a Mac ever does. I use both and Mac's, while they have some quirks, are far better in those two departments. It's not a debate. Sorry dude...you're just wrong and have had some burns.

PS Windows is an operating system not a computer type, genius.

A 7 year old Performa probably running OS 8 or 9, and you're comparing that to a recent windowze box? Are you from Bizarro world or something?

Why not step into THIS century, and make a comparison. What a troll.

Why do YOU lie?

As far as using windows? It's an OPTION. Look up the word. Those who buy a Mac now have an option of installing windowze along with OSX. You'll never see windowze come installed on a new Mac.

Geez, Apple is posting higher profits than any other single computer maker, and their market share is creeping upwards. MS fanbois need to get their head out of Gate's butt and breathe fresh air now and then.

In all my years in IT the only times I have seen even a pre OSx crash was when someone had been tinkering with the system. For the record, Macs are not going to Windows, they are building the os to run on pc architecture, due to limitations on advancing the original Mac chip and boards.

It is not that they lie.

Mac's traditionally have less issues with software incompatibility and problems because the software that is used most often is made by Apple. They also have a smaller userbase so less people = less problems.

Whereas windows has thousands of different pieces of software with billions of people using it. So the initial release of an OS is plagued with bugs. But Windows XP has been out long enough for most of the bugs to be worked out.

It is kinda like comparing Apples to umm.... Orange PC's.

Its not the mac its the software. You have to have a computer that will support your software enable to use it. I have 3macs in my house and they never crash. I've never been on a PC that doesn't crash. Windows Vista IS A JOKE. Its os x on a windows operating system.

What? You mean your new PC is better than your friends 7 year old pile of junk? No way!!

Sue Apple for false advertising.

*Or* pull your head out of your @r$e, go buy a new Mac and don't ask another question here until it crashes.

Because that is the nature of ads, you hype your product up and if you can you throw some dirt on your competetion.

BTW if PCs were so bad why are macs going to be using windows?
