Yep... that's the problem with trying to be different.

Think about how unique your child's name would be if you named her "Mary"!

Yeah. I am kinda tired of those names. I understand though that names get popular because people like them, and you can't blame people for naming their children a name they like. There are a few names which I am tired of hearing though. I know at least 3 children with each of these names!

Madison, Madeline, anything with the nickname Maddie
Taylor
Aiden
McKayla, McKenzie, any of the McNames (except McDreamy of course! I could never get tired of him!)
Alyssa
Bailey
Hailey
Caden, Kaden, Kaiden, Cayden
Caitlyn, Katelyn
Avery
Isabella, Bella

Mckenzie has been around since the 70's that I remember.
Madison 80's .

So some names never go out of style!

I agree totally!! but it has been happening for ever... When my parents named me in the 80's, they thought no one was using the name Jessica, it seems like around that same time everyone in the world thought the same thing, and Jessica became the most popular name in the 80's and every other 20 something today is named Jessica... When i was in high school there were 6 Jessica's in my PE class alone... It happens generation after generation...

For the reccord i have cousins who are sisters named Mackenzie and Taylor! lol

This ALWAYS happens whatever the time period. I mean even in the Dark Ages they were copying others names. I mean think of the name Linda or Molly or Emily. They all chatch on. I like the name Eliana, I heard it at a small book store but now EVERYBODY is naming their babies that name!

I actually don't care for those "different" names, I like a lot of the old style names like Louise, Constance, Diana, etc. I guess I'm just an old fashioned girl. But yes, I am sick of all these "new" names just because people want to be original and unique.

Nope, I have a granddaughter whose name is Madison.. another whose name is Serena, and another whose name is Makayla.. those are beautiful names, for my beautiful babies.. sure, I hear them on other kids, as well, but, it's always been like that, and always will be.. relax, don't pay it so much attention... at least it's not Chastity, Moon Unit, or some of those other wack ones..

i hate how every other kid is named hayden, jaden, or caiden. it was cute the first 200 times i met a kid with that name. but come on, you'd think someone would want to be a little different!! my son is the only one in his daycare not named that!!!
