When the landlord posts a three day letter to pay all rent & arrearages or quit the premises. If you don't do either one or the other, the landlord can file the eviction action, the summons of which will be posted & give you another five business days to respond with any defenses you may have. If you don't respond you'll get another (I believe) 72 hour notice before the Deputy Sheriff shows up with a moving van.

You may have defenses to the eviction. Talk to a lawyer. They may be able to work out a compromise with the landlord.

Huh? Why was the check returned? That means you didn't have the amount of Rent?

Work with your landlord to see if you can pay at least the rent and have the "fees" tacked onto your next month's rent check.

Eviction process doesn't occur until they serve notice (and follow the eviction laws of Florida, which is minumum 30 days notice)
