Probably. I don't know your age, but you must be about 13, which is the average age most girls start their periods. If your breasts have developed and your hips are becoming more defined, your periods should soon be starting. It's normal to have a vaginal discharge of mucus. All these things are caused by the female hormone, estrogen, which gives girls their womanly figures and enables them to have babies when the time is right. The changes in your body are perfectly normal.

Discharge does indicate that your body is releasing certain hormones that lead to full-blown womanhood.
You may or may not have a period soon, although the discharge DOES point to a likelihood that you will.
I started having discharge at 12, but never had a period until I was 17.
Every woman/girl/adolescent is different. Just keep "supplies" handy for the day that you do start.

Not necessarily. But if your over the age of 13 your first period could come at any time. The school nurse can provide you with a tampon if you have your first at school. But don't worry about it, because it's what all females go through during puberty.

Sort of. I had discharge(that's the mucus) for about a year and a half before I got my period, so it's a very early sighn that your body is getting ready. = ]

Mucus comes from your hormonal levels. It increases as your estrogen levels get higher, and decreases when your estrogen lowers. If you are getting mucus, it probably means that your hormonal system is gearing up to start your period.
Welcome to womanhood :)

Get online and look up yeast infection symptons, that could be the cause of the vaginal mucus.
