The online petition compares her 'injustice' to that of Richard Nixon's. The petition also states other celebrities have been slapped on the wrist, serving no jail time for the same arrest. She was arrested for violating probation and the other celebrities were charged with a first offense. The petition states she provide beauty and excitement to our otherwise mundane lives.
How can she even ask for a pardon is she calls us mundane? Why does she deserve special treatment? 45 days in jail won't kill her. Hell, knowing her track record, she'll turn that time into some kind of money making enterprise. I don't see what the big deal is.

I want to be fair about this, but also state my intentions. I think Paris should be jailed for the full 45 days, so I found the 2 petitions. Here is the petition to jail Paris Hilton.

And here is the petition to free Paris Hilton.

You should at least read the free paris hilton petition, just to read more proof of why she should be jailed.

Hell no she doesn't deserve one nor will Arnold grant her one. He killed Tookie and and if he pardons Paris for this 45 day jail sentence he'll have hell storming to his doorsteps. Her petition is just riddled with even MORE reasons to jail her. She got away with a hit and run already and now she needs to do her time!

Why should Paris Hilton be pardoned for breaking the law? It makes no sense. I am sick and tired of these celebrities who commit crimes and get off without any damages to them. I hope that Paris does have to go to jail and remain there for the whole 45 days. There should be no exception to the law, no matter who you are. I know that if any of us were to drive on a suspended license and get caught 3 times, we would have been in jail longer than 45 days. Thank you and may GOD come soon to right the wrongs that have been done on this earth.

honestly think she should be jailed. she violated probation. if she was a normal human being, there would not be a second chance or anything, even if a first offense of dui, there are people who end up in jail for a few days and if you can not make bail, you stay in jail until your hearing.
i frankly am sick and tired of celebrities using their status in getting out of jail and trying to get out of their commintments just because they are celebrities.
give me a break. u broke the law. you got fined. you were given probation. and you violate that. she shiould just be thankful that the judge only gave her 45 days. she should use the time to reflex on her bad judgements and all the mistakes she hasve made in her life.
and give me a break, it is not like she is going to be with the general population. the jail system will probably have her away from the general population and given certain rights that again would not be avaiable to you and me.
but here is another thought. if paris hilton has all the money she wants, why is she driving herself instead of having someone drive her around. i mean like that she can drink as much as she feels like it and not worry about doing something stupid as trying to drive home drunk.
she shouls thanks her lucky stars that the night she got pulled over she had not had an accident and killed someone.

Do you think Paris would be looking all over the Internet for a petition to keep you out of jail for violating the terms of your probation? She's not a small child incapable of knowing right from wrong. She should have known that driving was a no - no and if she didn't then she's dumber than she looks.
I have to say the most frustrating part about all this is it's making her more popular. She is going to get even richer for this. I would gladly go to jail for 45 days to make the kind of profit she's going to make off of it. It is sickening to me.

She is dumb for doing what she did, how can someone in their normal senses want her to be pardoned. If that same crime was committed by someone that is not a celebrity, would they be pardoned, they might have even been given more time. And people call her an idol or role models for other, well how many non popular role models, get sent to jail for that same crime she committed. She needs to get some gut, take the punishment for her crime, and stop complaining since its only 45 days.

I think she SHOULD go to jail for the full 45 days. All I have to say is that I don't think all of those people would be petitioning to not send her to jail if she would have KILLED someone while driving drunk. And she is a bad driver to begin with so that makes worse. She has all the money that she could dream of ~ get a f***'in driver!!

Of course not. She shouldnt be pardoned.
She is just a human being like everyone.. only difference is shes filthy rich from birth.
Her being a celebrity doesnt make her exceptional to the mistakes that she makes.
She is lucky that she was caught by the police without any actual traffic accident.
She could have caused the death of some law-abiding citizens.
If she somehow managed to get pardoned, this shows how unfair this world is.

In the petition to Free Paris they say that no one was hurt or killed so she shouldn't go to jail. She should consider herself VERY lucky that she didn't hurt or kill anyone because she easily could have. She thinks the whole world is out to get her. SHE decided to drive drunk. SHE decided to drive without her license suspended. SHE decided to sign something saying that she drived with her license suspended. So now SHE needs to just do 45 days (which I hear might be cut short) in jail. SHE decided to do all of this so now she needs to suffer the consequences.

I guess I don't understand this whole thing on why she or anyone else for that matter would believe she deserves a pardon. She broke the law and now she has to pay.
She needs to do her time, get over it and move forward by following the law in the future.
She and others (celebrity or not) need to know that the law is the law.
Therefore, No she DOES NOT deserve a pardon. Anyone who thinks she does need to get over it.

I agree with harrymay. Paris hilton is freakin' ugly all she has is nice hairstyles and cool make-up. Take it all off and you get that chiwawa from the taco bell commercials. She deserves what she got, money doesn't make people pretty or justified. Do the crime, serve the time!
