Honestly, it all depends on where you're at in your spiritual life. If you are a new Christian, most likely, he's a transient because you are not sure where in your heart to put him. And as your spiritual life grows, God will become more frequent in your life. And before you know it, he will be a permanent resident.

If I'm being completely honest with you... He's a permanent resident who I treat more like a transient...there are days when I feel so completely lost and out there on my own like I've ran so far from Him yet in the stillness I always manage to find my way back and treat Him as the well loved permanent Resident that He is.

i think that sometimes a lot of people use him as a bed spacer only thinking of him or praying to him before we go to sleep, because if iwe die we want to go to a better place, on the other hand being a transient means here then gone, forever changing etc you get my drift i think the only way he would be that is when we set him aside, because why would he ever have to change

None of the above. It's fully occupied by people I know, and the universe at large. There's no room at the inn for fantasies, especially supernatural ones.

He is a permanent resident in my heart.. and, of course, there are those who make statements trying to refute that idea, and they have their reward waiting for them..

Depends if you're a true believer (as in some sort of religion). But then God may be no more than your own conscience and, thus, your Guide (as you conceive Him - or Her - ) to be.
