Disco 70's Party Theme Knits and denims were the fabrics of choice. David Bowie, Queen, Abba, KIZZ, The Bee Gees, Donna Summer were the musical artist that many boogied to. Nixon resigns in 1974 facing impeachment from the information revealed on the Watergate tapes. Star Wars was the highest grossing film ever. Saturday Fever was the movie that really represents the 1970. The story of a boy who just wants to dance. The men had shoulder length hair and everyone wore tight fitting clothes. In New York, Studio 54 was the most popular place for a disco party theme. Disco is not just a club, but it is also a dance style and a fashion. Around the country roller disco was all the rage.
An 80's Party Theme would feature break-dancing and punk rock. Bands like Duran Duran, Oingo Boingo, Social Distortion and Minor Threat influenced people everywhere. Each crowd had their own way of dressing. Break dancers primarily wore jump suits and high top sneakers and had a fade haircut. The “punkers” wore tight jeans and dress shirts with ties. They had multi-colored Mohawks and wore make-up. Madonna also influenced the way people in the 80’s dressed. Big hair heavy make-up and little to no clothing at all was the style Madonna was famous for. Spandex was another fad, put on an oversized to-shirt, jean jacket, and spandex pants with leg warmers and that would be an average outfit of the 80’s.

Ok, no one wants to spend a bunch of cash on this dress up day since its not Halloween... heres what you do. I know its going to sound 50s but if done right it will wash for 70s or 80. Have him wear jeans and a plain t-shirt. Find a small box and roll it into the sleeve of the t-shirt to look like a pack of smokes... then do his hair in a style from the 70s or 80s. If this does not work, then send him to school in a pair of jeans and an old concert t-shirt (we all have them in our closets). Good luck, dress up at school is fun.

the 70s were known as hipy years and the 70s were years of the flower and teh flower colours.the 80s were known for the great disco music and funky clothes.also in 1980 the great leader of yugoslavia(south europe that country separated in 1990) josip broz tito died.thas is all i know

Buy a poodle dress and a red head wig. Dress him up as a 50-80 girls. For fun you can make his shoes look like roller blades.

KEWL just think of the brady bunch go to goodwill and get a afro wig or straight one big heels wide bottem pants and belts have him say marsha marsha marsha

get a afro wig, or just puff out his hair
tie dye is great for the 70's
for the 80's, it's neon-super bright colors!

tight rolled jeans, a tee shirt that says "frankie say relax" and loafers, no socks or converse.
