It usually happens if 2 Antivirus Protection running. For Antispyware as far as I know it should be a problem but problems may only arise if their scheduled scan is at the same time. Make sure they are in different time. Also soemtimes it makes computer run slow to have two program running at the program. If you have enough memory, you don't have to worry.

I too have been infected by this 'yay' popup window. Like everyone else I have patched my PC to the hilt, ran every spyware/antivirus I can think of and it still hasn't removed it yet. Like everyone else as well, I am currently researching this to find a solution so if I come across any information I'll post it back here. Judging from these post dates and times I think this is relatively new problem that might take the software manufactures a day or so to get the updates that clears it. Annoying as hell though huh? ****Update, with the help of a seriously talented friend, we found that this Yay bug had rewritten my NeroCheck.exe file. This process is started on bootup and when we cancelled it, the "Yay" popup went away. We located the NeroCheck.exe on the hard drive and renamed it and have not had a popup since. Now since we both think that this a virus/malware that attacks/rewrites any running .exe this might be a start for you all to look. Now if you all have Nero installed and it is only targeting Nero then this is the easy fix for "Yay". If not, hopefully it point you in the right direction to look into a resolution. I just hope that the AntiVirus/Spyware companies hurry up and come up with a more solid fix for this bug. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!****

Yes, because they will both try to scan the same file and cause a conflict and really slow down your computer. It's the same thing with antivirus software, only run one at a time. All of the programs I use are free and work very well:

Spyware Tools:

Yes, if they both detect a bad file, one of them will try to move it, and the other one will fail, possibly crashing. They also might end up crippling each other. Always use only 1 program for these things, and make sure they don't step on each other's toes.
