I am 3 months and my family and I are planning on going to a water park in the next couple of weeks. I was wondering if it was ok to go on the water slides there. Can anyone help me?

People can be so paranoid about infections and whatnot, but at 3 months, you are fine to go on waterslides as long as you aren't being thrown around and hitting your stomach on anything.

My Friend Went Down The Slides In Montreal That You Sit On A Burlap Sack... The Slides Are LONG, And She Was 6 Months Pregnant... Just Try Not To Get Thrown Around :)

I don't know for sure but I don't think so, just like you're not supposed to go on amusement park rides. It really stinks because my inlaws have a slide and I have to sit and watch everyone else. However, the baby's safety is more important than the slides. I do bet the water park has a "lazy river" where you can lounge on a raft and relax. Congratulations on your pregnancy!!

Pay attention to the signs at the park and maybe ask a park official what is recommended. Normally those types of things will have a sign on them that says "Not for use by heart patients, people with broken bones, pregnant women" if they're not safe for you. I hope it's safe, though....I'm going to a water park this summer at six month pregnant and I'm having to call ahead to ask what I can and can't do...and if they tell me I can only ride kiddie slides, I'm going to ask to only be charged a kiddie price!

If you are a normally active person you will probably be fine. However, check with your doctor. I am an intense cardio cycler (stationary) and my doctor said that I can continue until my belly gets too big.

Just check with the doctor.

to be safe, I'd avoid it ... think about this, is a day at a waterpark really worth possibly having a miscarriage?? This early in pregnancy people dont even realize you are pregnant so they wont jump in and tell you hey, you shouldnt be on this ride.

i wouldnt.
your not supposed to go on roller coasters, so id assume waterslides are on the list too.
ive been to some water parks that have high drop points (ive even belly flopp on them before) so thoes definitly would not be safe.
just stick to a swiming pool .

i would not do it, water may be forced into the vagina and cause an infection.
