What can i do if my cell phone dropped in water??

Question

I have a Verizon V3m pink and it fell in water. i turn it on and it says invalid battery and i try again and it wont turn on. what do i do??? get a new battery??

Turn it off, take the battery off, and let it sit somewhere for a couple of days where it will get as dry as possible. Then try it. If you're lucky, it will still work. If not, take it to Verizon and ask them what to do.

Make sure the phone is dry completely. 1 of best way is to leave your car AC fan on with very very light heat and let the air dry out the phone.

If the battery give that problem just go to verizon store and ask them to test the phone with a different battery they will just test it for free. you can also just find someone with similar phone and just test their battery. That way you wont have to buy one and get stuck with it.

Remove the battery from the phone and sit both out to dry for a day or 2. Once it's dry, try it again.

Chances are your phone won't work (electronics and water do not mix), but it's worth a try.

its not a hard fix,take off the batterry cover than in the bottom there will be 2 screws remove the screws then carefully open the phone dont worry it wont brake then take an old toothbrush dip it in rubbing alcahol and scrub down the inside of the phone do this for around 5mins then allow the phone to dry after put the phone back together anf fire it up 95% of the time this works

Let it dry out over night, then try it. You may need a new battery. Either that, or you may need to replace the phone.

ya i'd probly get a new battory but you could have someone clean or fix it i'm sorry i don't know where i'm. oh ya my friend has one a and you can get a water proof one they only cost 90$.
