No, that is a bad idea.
You vote for someone based on competancy and whether their goals match your prefered goals.
One does not vote for someone based on their sex, race etc.
A president is in power for at least 4 years.
It is vital that a good competant president is selected.
Having said that, if Hillary Clinton satisfies these requirements for you, then feel free to vote for her.
I would recommend, however, not voting for her simply because of her sex.

A politician that actually represents the people instead of their own personal crap, would be a welcome change, regardless of the gender. And yes, the representatives and senators have more collective power than the president. Whether or not there is a better route to go depends highly on your personal goals, which are probably different than mine. You make no mention of what that might be, so your question can't be answered really.

No , you should vote for whomever you feel is going to do the best job, and hope they do just that.
By the way Annie who answered before - what exactly did you expect her to do about Bill's cheating on her? Get a divorce? The woman handled her business in her own way - PRIVATELY. It really had nothing to do with his ability to run the country and he certainly isn't the first president to act out in office, nor apparently will he be the last.
Americans - just vote with your head.

If you think Hillary Clinton has a strong platform and would clean the country of all it's Bushit, by all means vote for her, but voting based on gender or race is just ignorant. I have more faith in Obama, so I'm supporting him.

Is she? What are you going on about? 'Our representatives'? What do you mean? And once you have a woman in the White House, how are you going to demand anything of her? Remember her constituents are men as well as women so she should be representing everyone. Not just some radical ijits.

No. you should vote for her if you think she is the best candidate for the office. Based on her Executive experience, none, I would find it hard to believe anyone would vote for her. What has she done? She was married to the President. A bad one at that. Thats like saying the manager of your pro baseball team retires or quits, and you think he was good, so you hire his wife to manage the team because, although she has no managerial experience, she was married to the manager so she will be fine for the job. Do you realize how dumb that is? Vote for a real candidate.

Let me ask you this:
If Ann Coulter was running for president, would youvote for her because she's a woman?
Political platform first, gender second.

Just because she would be first woman president should she be voted in.. But because she knows what she is doing.. If she will take care of the US like she should... do what she has promised during her campaign.

we should vote for the best candidate, female or male. Voting for somebody just because of their gender is sexism.

We should never vote for anyone just because of their gender or race.
You should look at each candidate and vote for the one you think is most qualified, period.
