In World War ll who fought who and what years did certain countries join in the war?

germany japan and italy were allies from the start.

the u.s. didn't get involved until 1941 when the japs, with hitlers urging decided to bomb pearl harbour.

Russia the U.S. and the United Kingdom then joined forces.

WWII began in 1939- Allies vs. Axis

Allies- Great Britain, France, U.S.
Axis- Japan, Italy, Germany

U.S. and Japan joined in 1941

WWII ended in 1945.

germany got indignant and power hungry, then asked russia to join them. other countries warned hilter not to go further and gave him part of czesoslovakia. japan was seperate at the time. they were expanding for raw matirial. america threatened to stop buisness if they continued. so japan bombed pearl harbor, then america delared war on japan, and germany declared war on america.
