When you are working to build a base tan you should put no more than one day between sessions. Once you have built your desired base, tan only once or twice a week to maintain it.

Are you using a lotion when you tan? If not, this is probably where your problem lies. There is absolutely no point in tanning with out a lotion. I'm not talking about the cheap drying oils that they sell in the grocery store, I'm talking about a lotion specifically formulated for indoor tanning. Since you are fair skinned it would be benifitial to you to use a lotion that contains bronzers, either DHA or natural. I do not suggest a tingle until you have a base tan. Ask the tanning consultant at your salon to help you pick out one that will meet your needs. It would also benifit you to ask them to recomend a good moisturizer for you post tanned skin. This will help keep your top layer of skin from naturally flaking off, and make your tan last longer. Don't be afraid to ask, that is what they're there for.

In my opinion:NEVER___I was diagnosed with malignant melonama of my nose from too much sun as a child.(same type of rays that you are getting from tanning booth).
In surgery they removed a large part of the end of my nose, until they thought they had all the cancer---6 months later they did reconstructive surgery, cutting down the wrinkles in my face and making a petatal flap over my nose, sewing it in and after some 3 months while that healed, then they cut that and let the other surgery heal. The pain to my nose was the worst pain I have ever had---I have it checked without fail every 6 months and have for past 15 years---Run as fast as you can from tanning booths etc. Ask a dermatologist.

skip the uv rays and do something that is pro health. in a few years you will look like a disgusting dried up prune. it's not something most younger people think about but the skin you have is not going to hold up over time with you damaging it the way you are.

i use tingle lotions exclusively...the other ones don`t come close!!! but if u don`t have a bit of a base tan, they can be dangerous, as they are extremely powerful!!! also, if u have sensitive skin, they`re not a good option...u could try a combo acclerator/bronzer...acclerator to stimulate your skin`s melanin to tan quicker, & bronzer to provide a bit of immediate color while u wait for your own natural tan to develop...

do not fake bake often. not only are you at high risk for skin cancer but if it's not working it won't for awhile. try getting a proffesional spray tan. do it at home ones can be tricky. if you must go to a beauty store and look at an assortment and try one that you may like.
