Sometimes I see a couple holding hands in public and I see that the man is holding her hand in the feminine (or submissive) position. I usually think to myself if he really knows what he is doing is wrong and if I should tell him. A woman's arm should be UNDER that of her man's when the two are holding hands. This shows that the man is leading and the woman is following.

I feel more comfortable when I am holding a man's hand, when my arm is under his.. I don't believe there is a right or wrong way to hold hands, it's what you feel comfortable doing.

it's not that he's leading us...it's because the other way is so unconfortable. it's more confortable if my hand is under his.
Besides we don't really hold hands that much..usually we have our arms around each other
however when we are walking on the side walk he always walks one the outside near traffic. I think that is so sweet...u should take lessons from him...he's alot better than u at treating me the way I deserve to be treated...like a princess

I agree with you. I am a woman and it feels most comfortable with my hand behind his, but I'm not sure if it has anything to do with leading and following. Maybe some people feel more comfortable the other way around.

Men are the dominant gender therefore when they hold hands with a woman, their's should be on top.
It shows that they are the leader and and the woman is the follower.

You are so funny, I was thinking the who should do what as in whats the protocol or etiquette.
Then I realized it depends on the personalities.
Sometimes my husband arm is is under mine when I am dragging his *** shopping and he is not happy, or when I lead the way. My arms would be under his when he take control. simple as that, it has nothing to do with all that sexist rubbish.

I agree.. I like my man to lead.. I feel wierd if It's the other way.. Not that I'm submissive.. but I like being beside my man but still protected =)
