I need research to support my thesis basically "his books arent good, why is he considered such a great author?" Ive been trying to find research in reference books at the library and it takes hours to find criticism on him let alone find criticism i can use for my thesis. HOW CAN I FIND RESEARCH QUICKER?

First, you're not going to find literary criticism in reference books. Ask your librarian to point you in the right direction. Second, you should rethink your thesis statement. If you don't know why Hemingway is a great author, you should try reading some of his work. He won the Nobel Prize in literature. What does that tell you? How many Hemingway novels have you actually read? One? Two? I think you should read a little more before you criticize one of the greatest writers of the last century.

Your thesis wouldn't be worth doing if all the information was already instantly available. That's what "research" is all about---finding and putting together information that hasn't been gathered in that way before. Keep working. I'd like to read a well-done paper that debunks the great Hemingway. I've always thought he was overrated.

He's a great author because he writes very concisely. I'm not impressed with his work because it's mostly just an ode to his exploits with women.
