So many of them insist on embarrassing themselves and asking stupid questions. When they say libs hate America, love terrorists, hate our troops, things like that, they only look like uneducated children. As a conservative myself, it seems to me our time would be better spent fixing our party. Getting rid of the corrupt politicians, making Bush change the course in Iraq and regain the trust of the American people. America sent us a clear message last fall, and it seems many of us are not listening. Do you want to get kicked in the nuts AGAIN in 08? If the REAL conservatives out there stop answering such dumb posts, and point out to those people they are acting like children, we will all be better off.

Great suggestion and I would have to agree with your points being made. I don't see this happening anytime soon though, but maybe if you started a new movement like the Neo-Conservatives did to destroy the GOP in the first place, you could come up with reasonable supporters to your cause.

While the avid supporters of the American Empire scorn those who support a greater emphasis on the betterment of humanity, the military they are so quick to deify is poised to nullify the very freedoms it purportedly exists to protect. Throughout history, the state has been a threat to the freedom of individuals. The principle weapon of government to impose its will upon the people has been the military. For many years, the US government has carefully crafted a covert tyranny of the wealthy through the use of media and propaganda, but as more Americans awaken to the true nature of their state, the Bush regime is becoming more eager to employ its unparalleled military power on the domestic front.
Posse Comitatus, a law which essentially prevents the military from policing the domestic populace, represents a thin veneer of protection against the imposition of martial law. Since it is statutory law and not derived from the Constitution, it can be altered or nullified by further legislation. Reagan trampled Posse Comitatus when he used the Air Force and Navy to fight the "war on drugs". Bush told us in his address during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina that he wants to expand federal authority and the military's role in domestic matters. In his recent press conference he told us that he will press Congress for the authority to employ martial law in the event of an Avian Flu pandemic. The presence of Blackwater paramilitary security forces and the emphasis of property protection over saving human lives in New Orleans provided a glimpse of what the Bush regime has in store for America 's citizenry.
In 1935, Sinclair Lewis published It Can't Happen Here, his depiction of a "democratically elected" US president imposing a tyranny on Americans. In 2007, life is imitating art. However, there are those of us who are willing to sacrifice and endure whatever is necessary for the cause of a more humane and just government and society. I will stay in the United States to work for something better. I will continue to teach my children to struggle for social causes. And yes, I will persist in my writing and other forms of dissent against the tyranny of the aristocracy, regardless of the consequences.

various days in the past somebody asked a query approximately an arrest warrant for Donald Rumsfield and that i responded with a link that responded his question. Now the two his question and the link I published have been bumped off. i could desire to comprehend why. The link confirmed courtroom records itemizing DC, GWB, and DR with 6 counts against each and each. i do no longer see what's inaccurate with posting that for an answer. I resent it being bumped off. i do no longer take gently to proscribing of my precise to loose speech, i grew to become into no longer vulgar or abusive I basically informed the reality.

Many of the "so called" cons are actually people mis-representing themselves to make cons look bad. Just as many of the so called libs are really people making the libs look bad. I try not to respond to posts that are blatantly inflamatory, and don't assume that if someone says they are a lib or a con that they actually are what they claim.

As a Goldwater Conservative, I couldn't agree more. We need to fix the party, send the Neo-Cons packing, and get back to what's actually best for America.

Wow. Just wow. You are one of the few realists in both parties who doesn't resort to name-calling and truly understands the deeper problems. My hats off to you. If only there were more people like you in both parties, maybe we could cooperatively work together.

First of all, I'm not on here nearly long enough to examing all conservative answers to liberal questions. Second, democrats won the last election by pretending to be conservative, there really was no message sent to anyone.

They tend to be neo-cons not fiscal conservatives.
Matt- NO WAY does the "far left" hate America.
What the hate is the far Right's poison.
Thank you!

The Far Left does hate America, does support terrorists by electing traitorous Democrats, and does hate our military. You can call me whatever you want. It wasn't Conservatives that allowed Democrats to win back the House. It was a bunch of undisciplined Rhinos.
