if he suspends Vick....i think he's doing a great job
as long as he's not just suspending the average guys and he doesn't favor the superstars....i think it's a great move.
it doesn't matter whether these guys chose to be roll models or not....they are
and if suspending them for being idiots will get them to straighten up....i'm all for it

on the level of punishing the players, i think he's done a good job...i actually believe he may have been a little harsh on pacman jones considering he has only one conviction to his record, and that he should have come down on chris henry more severely because he has multiple convictions, but the suspensions he handed down are ok the way they are
i would like to see him eliminate some the celebration penalties, large fines over minor uniform infractions, and to loosen the roughing the passer rule...some celebrations go over the top, but if two players get together in the end zone after a touchdown it's 15 yards now, and even spiking the ball in the field of play, even on accident i guess, is 5 yards...the uniform infraction fines are ridiculous, and i hope he moves away from the precedent paul tagliabue set in that category, although we didn't see as much in the way of those fines this past year...the roughing the passer penalties have gotten out of control, you can't pat the quarterback on the head without being hit with 15 yards
these are minor problems for the most part though, and i like the enthusiasm he has brought...he will be good for the league in the end if he can destroy some of the "no fun league" shadow

I think considering he's facing all of this as soon as he takes over, yeah he's doing a great job. Im a Titan's fan and I can say that. He did what he wanted and had to. He wanted to send a message to everyone else letting them know that they are representing the NFL, and if you can't represent with a good image, you won't represent at all. Goodell had to do this especially after Ray Lewis got minor suspensions for murder and Jamal Lewis didn't even have to miss any games for selling crack, this was all under the old commissioner. I will definitly say this, he's doing a way better job than Stu Jackson of the NBA......Sorry Sun's fans but you got screwed, if the Spur's win their MVP is definitly Mr. Jackson.

I like how he is handling the league, there have been to many player bahavior issues over the past few years and it is only getting worse, I think he is taking a stand and starting to make an example out of people to let them know these off field isssues will not be tolerated and it will cost the player in the end. I applaud the way he is stepping up and think it will help clean up the league.

I think it is great. He is solving the problem before it gets really bad. It isn't too great at the moment. Yet it is still seen more as a few players then all of them. Now it is seen as a Commish who says I'm going to stand for this. I think Tags retired because he was too much of a friend with too many and he saw the image was starting to go. He didn't want to hurt the league by letting the image get destroyed. Come on he didn't serve that long and did a great job with getting good TV contracts and such.

In what Roger Goodell inherited as a public relations nightmare I think he has done a good job .Now maybe he went a little bit too far with Henry and Pacmak ones but I think he wanted to send a message that things are going to change in the manner that professionals are going to behave in the future . The point I have to make here is that are thay doing this a little bit too late?

Roger is doing the right thing for the league. And dont hand me no mamby pamby crap about prooving them guilty before they can be punished. Most folks work places with conduct policies and rules in place. It is very simple here is a large amount of money for playing football. Keep your self in shape and dont get into any issues that will reflect negatively on the NFL.
Thank you
THe NBA

I give him props for handling the Quinn situation nicely, and coming down hard on Pacman and the other players.
However, big strike against the complete idiocy of even CONSIDERING moving the Super Bowl out of the country.

I'd like to see him take a hard stance on a white player when he gets out of line.
